Faith in Action

Chad

Thousands flee from the Darfur district of Sudan into Chad. Working through local Chadian Christians, we not only have established a work with the refugees, but have also have begun a ministry to the people of eastern Chad.

Thousands of refugees from war-torn Darfur have crossed the border into Chad seeking safety and security. While their lives have been spared, they have been placed into large refugee camps - virtual tent cities - where they must live in demoralizing conditions. We have partnered with local churches and missionaries in Chad to reach out to the refugees in the camps with needed relief aid. In addition, we have been able to provide Bibles, evangelistic material and a Jesus film to be used by local Christians for training and outreach. We have also been able to provide the funds to purchase property for ministry to local teenage girls.
